In 1997 & 1998, Kmart awarded KIK "Corporate Brands Partner of the Year". Loblaws made KIK "Quality Assurance Supplier of the Year" in 1999, and that same year KIK was recognized as one of "Canada's 50 Best Managed Private Companies" by Arthur Andersen, CIBC, PeopleSoft and the National Post.

In 2002, David Cynamon, KIK's Chairman and CEO, was awarded with "The Ernst & Young 2002 Entrepreneur Of The Year"® award for Ontario and Canada, within the Manufacturing industry segment. Founded by Ernst & Young, The Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards recognizes entrepreneurial talent and leadership. This award is nationally co-sponsored by Nasdaq, the Global Television Network, the National Post, La Presse and RDI.
