Services Overview

KIK has full-service capabilities covering end-to-end contract manufacturing, including Project Management, Innovation and R&D, Sourcing and Procurement, Blending and Compounding, Filling and Packaging, and Quality Control. Our flexible manufacturing model means no batch is too big or too small and we consistently add value to our customers by leveraging our range of services and expertise.

All KIK Custom facilities are compliant with good manufacturing processes and KIK is registered with the FDA, DEA and EPA. The Company maintains a Master Validation Program for equipment, cleaning, sanitation and processing. KIK is also recognized by the National Safety Council as an industry leader in workplace health and safety programs and we continuously invest in our manufacturing sites and systems.

Aerosol Manufacturing

KIK's Custom Division is home to North America's most expansive network of aerosol manufacturing with 22 dedicated aerosol production lines located in three sites featuring the latest technology to ensure safety and efficiency in the unique aspects of aerosol manufacturing. Our expertise includes working with a variety of propellant blends such as hydrocarbons, nitrogen, DME and 152A.

Liquids and Solids Manufacturing

Our liquids and solids manufacturing is conducted on 51 production lines capable of filling a wide variety of packaging sizes and formats including plastic bottles (HDPE, PET and PVC), tubes, jars, packets, sticks and display packs. Our manufacturing services include quality blending, homogenization and enzyme capabilities, with high-speed filling and packaging lines for liquid and solid production. Liquid fills range from one ounce to one gallon and production can accommodate tube sizes from 1/2 oz to 8 oz formats.

Research, Development and Quality Control

KIK's research and product development teams have created award-winning hairspray, shampoo and conditioner formulas and applications. Our state-of-the-art R&D labs and experienced Chemists are able to develop products to customer specifications, either from scratch or by utilizing our formulation library. We develop, test, validate and manufacture products in personal care, home care and OTC categories.

Our dedication to quality control covers all products, whether they are formulations developed by KIK, our customers or third parties. We have extensive quality expertise with proven processes covering stability testing, control sampling, analytical and micro testing.

Sourcing and Procurement

KIK's sourcing and procurement experts are able to support specific elements of a customer's procurement function or provide complete end-to-end procurement solutions, leveraging our supplier relationships and volume pricing to achieve the best quality ingredients and materials at the lowest possible cost.

Supplier Diversity Program

KIK's Custom Division views supplier diversity as an integral part of fulfilling our goal to be the contract manufacturer and partner of choice. We recognize that we have a great opportunity to utilize diverse suppliers within our supply chain to create economic value with our customers, suppliers and communities.

Program Overview

The Contract Packaging & Branded Products Division (Custom Division) seeks to partner with diverse businesses that provide products/services to meet our technical and commercial requirements at competitive prices. The program will seek suppliers that are at least 51% owned, controlled or operated by one of the following groups:

• Minority-Owned Business (MBE)
• Women-Owned Business (WBE)
• Veteran (V)
• Service-Disabled Veteran (SDVSOB)
• Small Business (SB)
• Small/Disadvantaged Business (SDB)
• HUBZone (HUB)

Proof of certification is required and acceptable from the following:

• Regional or National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC)
• Women Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC)
• Small Business Administration (SBA)

How the Program Works

The Custom Division's procurement organization will target diverse suppliers through purchasing organizations, trade shows, diverse supplier directories and partnering with KIK's contract packaging and branded product customers.

Diverse businesses wishing to do business with KIK's Custom Division should complete a supplier profile form located on our website.

Potential suppliers may be asked to participate in reverse auctions, request for quotes and other forms of purchases. Supplier participation will be considered based on capability match.
